Transportation Policy

Ecosphere Waste Solutions follows structured and compliant transportation policies for the collection, transportation, and delivery of waste materials to authorized processing, recycling, or disposal facilities, in accordance with applicable laws and environmental standards.

1. Scope of Transportation

  • Transport includes the collection, transportation, and delivery of segregated waste from client premises to designated authorized facilities.
  • Applicable to organic, recyclable, inert, and other approved waste streams handled by Ecosphere Waste Solutions.

2. Regulatory Compliance

All Transportation operations strictly comply with:

  • Solid Waste Management Rules, 2016
  • GBA / BSWML By-laws and guidelines
  • Karnataka State Pollution Control Board (KSPCB) norms
  • Vehicles used for transportation are authorized, registered, and GPS-enabled where required.

3. Packaging & Segregation

  • Waste must be segregated at source as per statutory guidelines.
  • Improperly segregated waste may be rejected, rescheduled, or charged additionally.
  • Clients are responsible for safe temporary storage until pickup.

4. Transportation & Logistics

  • Waste is transported using covered, leak-proof vehicles to prevent spillage, odor, or environmental contamination.
  • Collection schedules are defined as per service agreements and may be revised with prior notice.

5. Documentation & Traceability

Transportation and movement of waste are supported by:

  • Authorization letters
  • Service agreements
  • Weighment slips / manifests (where applicable)
  • Records are maintained for audit, inspection, and regulatory verification.

6. Risk & Liability

  • Ecosphere Waste Solutions is responsible for waste only after official handover at the pickup point.
  • Liability does not extend to waste that is non-compliant, hazardous (unless contracted), or improperly declared by the generator.

7. Delays & Force Majeure

  • Transportation schedules may be affected due to regulatory restrictions, strikes, weather conditions, or force majeure events.
  • Ecosphere Waste Solutions shall not be held liable for delays arising from such circumstances.

8. Amendments

  • The Transportation policy may be updated periodically to align with regulatory changes or operational improvements.
  • Updated policies will be communicated to clients as applicable.
